Insomnia three times increases the risk of developing heart failure

Recent studies make scientists more inclined to believe that sleep plays an important role in the prevention of heart disease and blood vessels. Thus it turns out that sleep disturbance is directly correlated with hypertension and heart attacks. A recent study at this time found that lack of sleep leads to the development of heart failure, the victims of which become every year millions of people in the world.

Norwegian experts conducted a large-scale study, which was intended to establish a link between heart attacks and insomnia. The study involved 54 thousand people, whose age was 20-89 years. Scientists have compiled data on the quality of sleep of all participants and analyzed them. As it turned out, the presence of insomnia increases the risk of heart failure.

In parallel, the scientists collected information relating to other aspects of human health, including risk of heart disease and blood vessels. It should be noted that in 11 years (so much lasted study) at 1400 participants of a scientific experiment arose mentioned heart disease. After reviewing all the data, the experts concluded that insomnia three times increases the risk of developing heart failure.
