Having a goal in life reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease

Scientists at the conference of The American Heart Association's EPI/Lifestyle 2015 Scientific Sessions in Baltimore made a statement: the purpose in life helps to avoid diseases cardiovascular diseases.

Only the study involved 137 thousand people. Scientists drew attention not only to the health of the subjects, but also on their psychological state. In particular, take into account the presence or absence of purpose in life.

The motivation for any activity, according to the study, reduces the risk of death from heart disease by 23% and the likelihood of developing cardiovascular disease by 19%.

The results once again prove a direct link between mental and physical health. The findings, scientists believe, should help doctors to right treatment, aimed at a comprehensive treatment of disease.
