Harmful to the ozone layer inhalers will be withdrawn from sale after 2011

People with asthma, which are purchased in pharmacies inhalers, will soon be forced to use only prescription inhalers. Such consequences will face U.S. residents after adopted by the government decision in the framework of protection of the Earth's atmosphere.

Directorate for quality control of food products and pharmaceuticals announced that uses adrenaline inhalers for asthma patients will need to switch to other types of apparatus until December 31 of this year. The new device should not contain chlorofluorocarbons. This substance is found in many aerosols that destroy the ozone layer that protects the Earth from harmful ultraviolet radiation from the Sun.

The transition to the new inhalers will cost consumers a lot of money. The usual adrenaline inhalers cost around $ 20 in online stores, the alternative options are from 30 to 60 dollars.

In the framework of the project on the protection of the atmosphere, many manufacturers have already switched to the production of harmless to the environment inhalers. New inhalers also help to get rid of shortness of breath and feelings of pressure in the chest, symptoms that affect people with asthma.
