Friendship with neighbors reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases

Diseases of the cardiovascular system and to this day remain the leading cause of death among the population of the entire planet. Examination of the causes of developing heart attacks, strokes and angina is a promising direction. Scientists from Michigan Institute found an indirect relationship between good relations with neighbours and the risk of developing cardiovascular disease.

Only the study involved 2276 people older than 60 years. Nobody at the beginning of observation of problems with the heart and blood vessels were observed. In addition, the researchers asked the volunteers how warm they seem relations with neighbors.

For 4 years that lasted the study, 148 people had registered a heart attack. As it turned out, the risk was significantly lower among the group of volunteers that have close relations with the neighbors.
