Free pizza makes people work better

Praise or Goodies at the end of the working day motivate to do better than cash prizes. This is indicated by the results of research scientists from Duke University. They proved that the free pizza at the end of the work week increases productivity more than other motivating factors. Other results of the work done, says the publication The Daily Mail.

The researchers divided employees into three groups. The first case of implementation of the plan gave additional $ 30 per week, the second was praised the main boss, third group on Friday, if successful, were given coupons for a free pizza from a local pizzeria. Other employees not motivated.

It turned out that waiting for the free pizza gave the best results. This group coped with the task is 4.9% better than the control group. Cash rewards only worked in the first week. Then productivity in this group declined only.
