Found a new cure for AIDS?

According to Xinhua, scientists from the Queensland Institute of medical research in Australia are one step away from developing a potential cure for AIDS.

Associate Professor David Jarrico was able to identify how to modify a protein in the virus, to achieve a strong and long-lasting protection against the disease. Thanks to this method, the virus will simply remain dormant. We are talking about protein, which is found in immune cells.

During the development of this approach, it will be possible to find a truly effective method of struggle against HIV. Preliminary testing reports positive results.
