Experts: seasonal depression doesn't exist

Weather changes do not affect the person's emotional state, the scientists from Auburn University. They proved that seasonal depression – a common myth. The result, writes the newspaper The Daily Mail.

The researchers analyzed mental health 32 thousand people of all ages. We evaluated the levels of depression and living conditions of volunteers. It turned out that no connection between the seasons, amount of sunlight and risk of depression does not exist. There is the concept of clinical depression, and this disease is usually not associated with any particular time of the year.

Among the volunteers, the scientists identified a group of 1754 people with clinical depression. For these people there was no difference in the level of depression according to the season.
