Experts: potatoes are a decent source of potassium and fiber for a child

We shouldn't blame potatoes with accounts in the preparation of the child's diet. Recent research from the USA proves that this product is easily absorbed potassium. Given that eating habits are formed in the first few years of life, experts recommend that children periodically to cook with potatoes.

Employees of the Medical College of Baylor found: potatoes you can get up to 8% of the daily value of fiber, so necessary for the normal functioning of the gastrointestinal tract.

In the study, researchers found that the average student receives only 55% of the necessary portion of fiber and 67% of the required potassium. Children do not like vegetables much, preferring them sources of "fast" carbohydrates (chocolate, pastries, sweets). White potatoes, students often do not perceive at all. Experts believe that the love for this product should be instilled from childhood, not forgetting about other useful products.
