A group of researchers from the Mayo Clinic proved that very often the cause of obesity in teenagers is the hormonal changes. Particularly strong is the impact of reducing the level of hormone sexina. This chemical compound not so long ago scientists have linked obesity to adults, says Deccan Chronicle.
The study involved 18 people with normal body mass and 51 teen with obesity. Examining blood samples from the subjects, the researchers came to the conclusion that at high body mass levels speccin in the body is often reduced.
