Regular yoga helps to normalize heart rhythm. So say scientists from the University Sophiahemmet. They found that moderate exercise arrhythmia may be useful.
In total the study involved 80 people with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. Volunteers were divided into two groups. Some were involved in the research process yoga. All patients received standard medication arrhythmia. Applied cardioversion and catheter ablation, tells the newspaper The Times of India.
The subjects from the first group practiced yoga for 12 weeks once a week. Exercise duration did not exceed one hour. Note that each action patients were monitored by an experienced instructor.
According to the results, low physical activity and breathing exercises reduced blood pressure in patients and improved heart rate. Apparently, deep breathing with flowing movements has a positive impact on the balance between parasympathetic and sympathetic parts of the nervous system.
