50% of children living in large cities, have bacteria that is resistant to most common antibiotics. Drug resistance is a serious problem in medicine that you want to do something, believe experts from the University of Bristol and kings College London.
The researchers analyzed 80 000 samples of bacteria collected from the residents of 26 countries. Many of the bacteria had resistance to common antibiotics: ampicillin, trimethoprim/, trimoxazole.
The more people take antibiotics, the higher was the probability of drug resistance. Experts remind, do not take antibiotics without medical supervision. This tactic may cause future development of chronic infection, to cope with which will not be possible.
