Every fourth American uses soothing

You probably heard about mental disorders Catherine Zeta-Jones and Emma Thompson, they are only a few examples of the General trends. Recent research has shown that one in four women in America uses prescribed medicines for mental disorders. And this figure continues to grow.

Medical company"health Solutn Inc. conducted a study that tracks the dynamics of Americans use prescription drugs from mental illness. It showed that over the last decade, their use among women aged 20 to 44 years increased significantly. The number of people taking drugs for ADHD (attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity) tripled, and the receiving sedatives, such as Valium and Xanax, increased by 30% over the last ten years.

Women rely on soothing much more men twice their number in this category of patients. In addition, women are more prone to the use of neuroleptics, preventing bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

But men are not far behind weaker sex. The use of such drugs among men 20 to 64 years increased by 4 times over the last decade.

While society pays close attention to the physical form, the number of mental disorders is increasing with an enormous speed. Maybe it is time to pay attention and mental health?
