Everest will measure again because of the earthquake

Because of the earthquake in Nepal in 2015, the Everest will be measured again.

The chief surveyor of India Swarna Subba RAO said that a team of scientists using a ruler, measure the height of mount Everest. It is necessary to find out whether an earthquake of magnitude 7.8 points in Nepal in 2015 "stole" from Everest a few inches of height.

Based on the satellite observations it was assumed that the height of mount Everest has decreased in different places from a few millimeters to 2.5 centimeters. "It will take a month for measurements and another two weeks for the announcement of official data", - said Subba Swarna RAO. Indian surveyor confirmed that a team of researchers will go to the top within two months.
