Endurance helps children better understand math

Scientists from the University of Illinois recommend parents to monitor not only the child's success in school, but also for the physical activity of the household. Good physical preparation, the study found, improves the child's results in the exact Sciences, including mathematics. The brain trained children spends less energy on solving mathematical problems. In the normal state, the brain regularly exempts itself from unused links. Useful contacts in this case are fixed. The study involved 48 children aged 9-10 years. Scientists measured the level of consumption of the brain of volunteers of oxygen.

Half of the children differed a good physical preparation. MRI results of the study are as follows: regular exercise strengthens and physical health, and improve brain function, reducing energy costs during mental labour. Interestingly, physical activity had no effect on the results in reading and writing.
