Scientists from Japan told about the most effective method of fight against teenage depression.
In the study, researchers observed a group of 18 thousand high school students and secondary school pupils. The result has been to prove the existence of a close relationship between psychological disorders in adolescents and quality of sleep. Lack of sleep, the researchers found, significantly increases the risk of depression and certain other mental disorders.
Healthy sleep – the best prevention of depression among young people, the researchers said. Interestingly, sleep has a stronger impact on mood and well-being of boys than girls. Experts recommend teenagers to sing at least 8 hours a day.
According to statistics, girls of a young age suffer from depression more so than boys. That is why they should approach the question of the adherence responsibly.
