Discovery: the cells of the two-day embryo already have differences

Previously it was thought that at this stage all the cells are identical to each other. Scientists from Britain and Belgium established that there are certain differences in the structure of the cells of the two-day embryo, when it represents no more than 32 cells.

The formation of organs and tissues doesn't happen immediately. First, forming the basic form of stem cells. Then they originate from precursors of the cardiovascular, digestive, nervous and other systems.

The researchers found in the cells of the embryo two-day differences in expression of factors regulating transcription. Note, in most cases on the second day, the embryo consists of just four cells.

While it is difficult to say whether these differences on the fate of the cell. The answer to this question will allow future studies of British specialists.
