Depression interferes with normal communication – scientists

Experts from the University of Texas found: people who are depressed, do not understand his interlocutor and can't carry on a conversation. Information was possible in a study involving volunteers with clinical forms of depression.

People offered to listen to a few dozen entries, phrases and were asked to recall their meaning. Volunteers with depression worse perceived the meaning of what he heard. The main reason lies in the internal obstacles and emotional state of a person.

Worst of all volunteers recognize negative emotions. People with depression have failed badly with decryption and positive expressions. Apparently, therefore, for a given mental disorder is reduced involvement in the conversation and the desire to talk with others.
