Chinese scientists have decoded the genome of the virus zika

A group of researchers from the Center for control and prevention of diseases in China had decoded the genetic information of the virus zika. Isolated cases of infection of this disease registered in more than 30 countries. Information about the genetic structure of the virus will help in the development of drugs to prevent infection and its treatment, says Zee News.

In China the virus came from South America on February 9, 2016. The first in the country the sick man of 34 years. Before infection he visited Venezuela. On arrival home he developed symptoms of dangerous diseases. Today in China, there are 10 cases of infection by zika virus.

The disease is carried by Aedes aegypti mosquito. This, in addition to the zika virus, spreads yellow fever and Dengue fever.
