Carbonated water and sugar negatively affects the kidneys

Sweet soda in the last decade gained enormous popularity. Every day people drink huge quantities of this drink and not think about the consequences. Carbonated water and sugar increase the level of glucose in the blood, which is a stress factor for diabetics. Also, soda is corrosive environment of the gastrointestinal tract. Not so long ago scientists have confirmed and another interesting fact. It turns out that soda, especially sweet, has a negative effect on the urinary system. This is especially true of renal filtration plant organism responsible for the formation and excretion of urine.

Scientists from America and Japan conducted a series of studies, which found that regular consumption of large quantities of carbonated drinks can lead to massive proteinuria. This diagnosis is made at the time of exceeding the concentration of protein in the urine. In the normal protein in the urine is extremely small, but in destructive processes amount can significantly increase and lead to serious consequences. Scientists believe that the increased protein is one of the first signals the presence of kidney disease.

Concerning sugar, scientists also have their own theory. According to recent studies higher concentration of sugar causes the opposite reabsorption in the renal tubules. As a result of increasing the number of decay products that get into the bloodstream instead of what would be excreted in the urine.

Doctors say that you can protect yourself by reducing consumption of carbonated drinks and sweets. And will not prevent the transition to rational nutrition with diet.
