In the new study, experts in the field of physiology've analyzed the brain activity of volunteers using MRI. The observation was carried out when performing special tasks: the people were determined semantic pairs between words and pictures. Data published by Science World Report
20 minutes after the end of the first phase of the study, the researchers examined what number of pairs of words and pictures volunteers remembered. It turned out that most activity in the field of hippocampus reduces the chances of a person to remember information.
Excessive activity in parietal and frontal cortex gave the volunteers a sense of knowledge, but when you try to list a pair of hearing these people constantly made mistakes.
The study opens the functioning of the cerebral cortex of the people on the other side. Further research aimed at the study of this area will help in the future in the development of techniques for improving memory.
