Bones made of plastic and volcanic dust will begin to use in medicine

A blend of organic plastics from corn starch and volcanic dust is able to give the world a solid material suitable for making dentures bone. Technology should help patients who need bone replacement. It is reported by NDTV.

The material eventually decomposes, and after 18 months in place of the organic plastic to form a new bone. To create a material scientist needed carbon dioxide and a mixture of polymer and clay. Substance pumped with carbon dioxide, the resulting implant, similar in structure with the construction foam, but firmer and more degradable. Studies prove effectiveness of a new method in modern medicine.

Artificial bone allows complex procedures for fusion of bone tissue without the use of additional elements that strengthen the damaged bone. When pilot experience will be used in surgery, the newspaper reports, the project is at an experimental stage.
