Because alcohol intestinal bacteria penetrate the liver – scientists

It is possible that bacteria are one of the main reasons for the development of alcoholic liver disease and cirrhosis. A team from the University of California conducted an experiment on laboratory mice. It turned out that regular alcohol consumption alters the intestinal flora of animals and provokes the development of destructive diseases of the liver. This tells NDTV.

Low activity REG3G gene, scientists believe, accelerates the progression of alcoholic liver disease. Animals with the gene defect quickly earned cirrhosis under the influence of regular doses of alcohol.

More alcohol contributed to the introduction of bacteria from the intestine into the liver tissue. Experts have discovered a rich microflora in the liver in mice, which are every day watered with alcohol. Scientists recommend to limit consumption of alcohol to prevent the described changes in your body.
