Alcohol protects against Alzheimer's disease

Small portions of red wine is good for health, experts say. The antioxidants included in the composition of the drink, prevents the destruction of cells and protect tissues from oxidative action of free radicals. In a recent study involving 300 scientists came to the conclusion that alcohol reduces the likelihood of developing Alzheimer's disease.

A group of scientists observed patients with Alzheimer's disease. In the course of one year people suggested the use of a small amount of red wine only in the company of friends. In the experimental group mortality rates from Alzheimer's disease decreased by 70% compared with control data.

Scientists recommend to consult the doctor before starting such experiments. Still registered and approved drug for Alzheimer's disease exists in the world. Pharmacists are working on a cure for the disease.
