A vegetarian diet can help children with obesity

Vegetarian diet prevents the risk of cardiovascular disease among adults. The same effect of plant food has on the body children with clinical obesity. This is the conclusion of experts from Pediatric Clinic Cleveland when conducting research involving 28 children with obesity and high cholesterol levels, says Zee News.

Children over four weeks, one group of children followed a plant-based diet, while the other was fed according to recommendations of the American heart Association. According to these recommendations, the children from the second group received less salty foods, more vegetables, a limited amount of lean meat and fish.
