A break from social media can cheer you up

The study showed that regular use of social networking sites such as Facebook, can negatively affect emotional well-being and life satisfaction, writes The Times of India. A regular break from social media can lift your mood, according to a study published in the journal Cyberpsychology.

Experts from the University of Copenhagen conducted an experiment on 1000 volunteers. The participants of the experiment were checked for the presence of depression and level of psychological mood. Next came the two groups. The first group consisted of those who continued to use social networks, and the second who took a break for a week. In the experiment were able to establish that the participants of the second group showed improvement of well-being and emotional state.
